Laboratory of Metallurgy and Ceramic Materials / CTPP (IPT)

Modernization, automation and data acquisition of a rolling cell consisting of a reversible rolling mill duo brand Stanat model TA-315 with nominal capacity of 50 tf (tonne-force), in order to carry out tests of hot rolling mode uninterrupted, the maximum operating temperature of 1200 ° C.

Application: Testing of rolling metallic materials in general for technological research.

The adjustment of the thickness was performed by servo drive allowing precise control of thickness.

Megawatt Solar

Development of software for control and data acquisition for managing energy converters (Schneider Electric) of the plant MEGAWATT SOLAR which constitutes the implementation of an integrated headquarters ELETROSUL PV system using the roof area and adjacent parking lots, and will be connected to the local power distributor network. The solar plant will have installed capacity of 1 MWp (Megawatt peak ¹)

The exchange of data included communication with the SAGE system (It’s a tool of the Control Center that assists the recovery and fault diagnosis in transmission system Eletrosul).

For communication of power converters, field devices to the WAGO controllers was used Modbus RTU (RS485) and turn the WAGO controllers for the SAGE system the Modbus TCP / IP (Ethernet) was used.

The electrical panels which they contained WAGO controllers were designed and manufactured at the factory ARM Automation.

The headquarters of ELETROSUL will be the first Brazilian public building to use the concept BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) connected to the electric grid on a large scale.
